EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

In individual counseling, you will have a space that is yours, where you’ll be able to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental setting. Some areas of focus include improving positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem, and being better able to cope with diagnosis impacting our daily lives.

Art therapy is a mental health profession that combines the creative process of art-making with psychotherapy. We use art materials based on needs/diagnosis and the creative process to help people express themselves, explore emotions, and improve overall well-being when words alone can’t. This allows the space to non-verbally communicate feelings and experiences, which can improve self-awareness, relieve stress, and assist personal growth.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps the brain process distressing or overwhelming experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, emotional reactions, or negative beliefs about yourself. By using gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR allows these experiences to feel less intense over time so they no longer interfere with daily life. EMDR can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, performance stress, and self-esteem concerns—even when experiences don’t feel “traumatic.”

Meet Lauren Neustadt, LCPC, ATR, CCATP, C-DBT, EMDR-Trained

I'm Lauren- Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, or mood changes start to take over. You may find yourself stuck in patterns of worry, feeling unmotivated, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Helping people navigate anxiety, depression, and other mood-related challenges is at the heart of my work as a therapist. I believe that emotions—even the painful ones—are signals that deserve understanding rather than judgment. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard while we explore what’s getting in the way of the life they want to live.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life-transitions, and mood disorders. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a certified provider, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Art Therapy to help clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring deeper emotional experiences.

Growth can begin in the quiet decision to try something new. Whether you’re carrying a lot, feeling stuck, or ready for change, there is space here for support. Taking the first step can feel big, but you don't have to do it alone. If you are interested in services, please fill out your contact information below and I will gladly get back to you.
