Art Therapy
In individual counseling, you will have a space that is yours, where you’ll be able to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental setting. Some areas of focus include improving positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem, and being better able to cope with diagnosis impacting our daily lives.
Art therapy is a mental health profession that combines the creative process of art-making with psychotherapy. We use art materials based on needs/diagnosis and the creative process to help people express themselves, explore emotions, and improve overall well-being when words alone can’t. This allows the space to non-verbally communicate feelings and experiences, which can improve self-awareness, relieve stress, and assist personal growth.
Meet Lauren Neustadt, LCPC, ATR, CCATP, C-DBT, CAIMHP
I'm Lauren- a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Art Therapist (ATR). I offer virtual therapy in Illinois and specialize working with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, lack of self esteem/confidence, life transitions, and mood disorders.
My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. I utilize different evidence-based therapies including DBT (as a certified DBT provider), CBT, Expressive Therapy (Art Therapy), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Healing looks different for everyone, and I will always tailor sessions to meet you where you are and support what you need in the moment.

I can verify your insurance benefits prior to our initial session; however, it is the client's responsibility to confirm whether I am in-network. The best way to do this is by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. You can also utilize the online provider lookup system through Blue Cross Blue Shield or Aetna.

Are you seeing people in-person and virtually?
Sessions are only offered virtually within Illinois.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel your appointment within 24-hours of the appointment time, you will be charged a fee.
What happens after I reach out for services?
After submitting a form, you will be contacted within 24 hours to set up a consultation call/get your first session scheduled. We will discuss your availability, insurance, and what services might look like!
